Lexi Rabe proved Tony Stark a.k.a. Iron Man had a heart when she played his daughter, Morgan Stark, in “Avengers: Endgame”.
While the 7-year-old actress endeared herself to Marvel fans with her “I love you 3,000” line, she said in Instagram on Saturday, June 22 that she faces bullying.
In a video, she appealed to fans, “I mess up sometimes. My mom and dad give me tons of talking to’s and time-outs. Believe me.”
“If I go anywhere and I’m acting a little silly or messed up or anything like that, I’m just 7 years old. Please don’t bully my family. Or me. Bye, love you 3000.”
The video’s caption, written by her mom Jessica Rabe, said, “Please keep your opinions to yourself so Lexi can grow up in the free world. She’s a normal human being and she’s a child.”
No specific instance of bullying was cited, but it hinted at public interactions that the family has to deal with. “We give her a talking and we give her timeouts but we don’t do that in public. Sometimes [we’re] rushing from place to place stressed like everyone else to get to set on time or work or whatever and we seem a little grumpy.”
“If you ask us for an autograph we always almost say yes. If we happen to be having a bad day that might put us right on the right! We are not perfect!”
A follow-up post features her onscreen dad Robert Downey Jr. doing the Iron Man pose with the text, “Protect a child. Say no to bullying! Stay off our page if you’re a bully!”
After appearing in “Endgame” which premiered in April, the actress starred in “Godzilla: King of the Monsters” released in May. JB
