Luis Manzano and Jessy Mendiola reminisced on the first time they bonded as they marked their third year as a couple.
The “Minute to Win It” host posted on Tuesday, June 25, pictures of them in their travels to South Korea last January.
“Thank you for coming to my birthday more than 3 years ago love, kahit napilitan ka lang pumunta after taping mo (even if you were forced to go after your taping)…. but look where we are now!!!” Manzano’s birthday is on April 21.
“Thank you for being who you are and always being there, I love you, 3 down… forever to go,” the 38-year-old host and actor said.
Mendiola, 26, recalled on Instagram what happened on the night of his birthday, when sparks flew and led them to a lasting relationship. She shared a picture of them kissing on the beach during a visit to the Tubbataha Reef.
“It seems like only yesterday when we were talking at your birthday party till 3 a.m. I wasn’t listening to whatever you were saying. I was just staring at your face thinking ‘why not? he seems like a nice man.’ Fast forward to today and we are celebrating our 3rd year together,” she said.
“I thank God [every day] for giving me a good man. A man who will fight for me, take care of me and see me through the tough times,” she wrote. “I know in my heart you are the one for me. Who would’ve thought? Happy anniversary my love. I love you with all that I am.”
Manzano told the Inquirer that he wants to marry Mendiola, but that he is still saving up for their future. He explained, “I am sure about her. I’m not having doubts at all. It’s just that I want to provide for her and give her the life that I think she and my would-be family deserve.” /ra
