Pokwang, K Brosas, Pooh remember late comedian Chokoleit on birthday

Pokwang, K Brosas and Pooh, best friends of the late comedian Chokoleit, kept his memory alive by remembering him on what would have been his 47th birthday on June 25.
Actress and comedian Pokwang took to Instagram today, June 26, to share an old video of her and Chokoleit fooling around while in the United States.
“Good morning… GV,” said Pokwang. “Mga panahon na baliw baliwan lang tayo lagi off Chokie (those days when we just acted crazy all the time). I miss you…”

Pokwang also shared a photo of a stuffed penguin that Chokoleit gave to her daughter Malia, his goddaughter, via Instagram on June 25.
“Last guesting natin sa ‘Magandang Buhay’ 1st birthday episode ni @malia_obrian ang iyong inaanak na tisay,” she said. “Bago mo inabot sa kanya this stuffed toy na penguin dinikit mo muna sa face mo… ayan nalagyan ng make up foundation mo!!”
(Our last guesting on ‘Magandang Buhay’ was your goddaughter Malia’s 1st birthday episode. Before you gave her this stuffed penguin, you placed it on your face… so your makeup foundation rubbed off on it).

Pokwang did not mind, saying she refused to have the stuffed toy washed so it would still have something of Chokoleit to keep.
“Hindi ko na pinalabhan ito kasi gusto ko may alaala mo pa rin kahit sa ganitong bagay (I chose not to have it washed because I want us to have something of you in this way). I love you friend… Happy birthday Chokie… I miss you…,” she said. “Pagdasal mo kami lagi ng inaanak mo at gabayan mo kami ha (pray for your goddaughter and me, and always guide us, okay). I love you! #happybirthdaychokoleit.”
Singer and comedian K Brosas also took to Instagram on June 25 to remember her best friend.
“Happy birthday bff Chokoleit! Walang araw na di kita naalala… lalo na ngayon nasa ‘Minute to Win It’ ako this week,” said Brosas. “Ikaw ang last kong kasama sa tandem… at tayo pa ang nanalo. Kaya lalo kita na miss! Labyu!”
(Happy birthday bff Chokoleit! There is not a day I don’t remember you… especially since I was in ‘Minute to Win It’ this week. I was last with you in the tandem… and we won, which is why I miss you even more!)

Comedian Pooh kept his post short and sweet, wishing his best friend a happy birthday in heaven.
“Happy birthday in heaven @hot_chokoleit miss na kita (I miss you)…,” Pooh said via Instagram on June 25. “Mag celebrate kayo ng bonggang bongga diyan (Celebrate lavishly up there)! Love u…”

Chokoleit, known as Jonathan Aguilar Garcia off stage, died after a performance in Abra last March. A video of Chokoleit’s performance, which actor-singer Carl Guevarra shared, showed the comedian struggling and seemed out of breath while delivering his lines. As per Guevarra, Chokoleit was rushed to the hospital in Vigan afterward, but did not make it. He was 46 years old. /ra
