Jake Cuenca recalled the time when Kylie Verzosa did not reciprocate his feelings, with a throwback photo of them from their time in the 2017 film “Ang Panday”, their first project together.
“Yung panahon na hindi ka pa crush ng crush mo. [laughs] Mabuti nalang nagpagupit na ako @kylievervosa,” the actor said via Instagram last Sunday, June 23.
(The time when your crush did not have a crush on you. Good thing I got a haircut.)
“Buti nalang talaga”, Verzosa said, echoing Cuenca’s statement about changing hairstyles.
(It really is a good thing.)

The photo shows Cuenca, sporting a long hairstyle, and Verzosa together with fellow “Ang Panday” co-stars Mariel de Leon, Coco Martin and Awra Briguel. Cuenca starred as Lizardo, the film’s antagonist, while Verzosa portrayed the leading lady of the film’s hero, Flavio Batungbakal III (Martin).
After working on “Panday” together, the two reunited as co-stars on the current TV series “Los Bastardos”. Cuenca recently admitted that he and the 2016 Miss International winner are dating, adding that he loves her from the “bottom of his heart.”
Cuenca is top-billing the action thriller “Kontradiksyon” alongside actors Katrina Halili, Kris Bernal and Lou Veloso among others. The film is helmed by Njel de Mesa, who directed the 2017 movie “Respeto”. “Kontradiksyon” premiered in cinemas yesterday, June 24. JB
