Kit Harington has left a treatment center in the United States after checking in last May for “personal issues.”
The “Game of Thrones” star was seen strolling in London on Monday, May 17, carrying a duffel bag, People reported on Wednesday, June 19. His stint in the wellness facility has yet to be confirmed by his representative.
The sighting comes after his rep confirmed on May 28 that the actor was on a “wellness retreat to work on some personal issues.”
Harington entered luxury health retreat Privé-Swiss in Connecticut, which specializes in mental health, stress and alcohol use, Page Six reported in May. The treatment reportedly involves psychological coaching, meditation and cognitive behavioral therapy.
The actor shot to fame in his first on-screen role as Jon Snow, a pivotal character in HBO fantasy series “Game of Thrones.” Harington was only 22 when he was cast in the TV show and it became a defining role for him for a decade.
He has spoken about the stress and pressure of the fame that came with the hit series. He told Variety in March, “My darkest period was when the show seemed to become so much about Jon, when he died and came back.”
“When you become the cliffhanger of a TV show, and a TV show probably at the height of its power, the focus on you is f—ing terrifying.”
Harington is said to have felt “lost” after the series ended with its eighth and final season on May 19. A source told E! News on May 31, “It was his life for so long and the realization that it is over has caused a lot of stress and despair. Figuring out who he is and what is next has really gotten to him.” Niña V.
