Julie Anne on ‘very smooth’ musical partnership with Christian
Julie Anne San Jose has been in show biz for over a decade, starting as a child performer and growing up in the industry to become one of GMA 7’s most prominent contract artists.
Julie Anne is often paired with another talent search alumnus, singer Christian Bautista, whom she has worked with for a couple of years now.
The duo recorded a duet in 2014, the Gwyneth Paltrow-Huey Lewis song “Cruisin,’” then joined forces for the 2016 concert, “When Julie Anne Meets Christian.” Currently, they’re cohosts of the variety program, “Studio 7.”
It’s a professional, musical partnership, Julie Anne says, that feels natural and inevitable.
“I never had a hard time working with Christian Bautista,” she tells the Inquirer. “Everything with him is very smooth.”
