Taylor Swift’s new album ‘Lover’ coming in August

MANILA, Philippines — Taylor Swift announced Friday the release on August 23 of her upcoming album “Lover.”

The 29-year-old pop singer revealed that her seventh studio album will include 18 songs in an Instagram livestream.

Swift also announced the release of a new single titled “You Need to Calm Down” on Friday with its music video dropping on June 17.

“This album in tone, it’s very romantic—and not just thematically, like it’s all love songs,” she said, describing the new album.

“I think the idea of something being romantic, it doesn’t have to be a happy song. You can find romance in loneliness or sadness or going through a conflict or dealing with things in your life. It looks at things with a very romantic gaze,” she added.
