Aiko Melendez excited for first day of work in GMA
After spending nine years with ABS-CBN, actress Aiko Melendez starts her first day of work with her former studio’s rival network GMA today, June 10.
Melendez marked her first day of work for her new TV series, “Prima Donnas”, by expressing her excitement and gratitude for the new project, as per her Facebook post.
“Today marks my first day of work for GMA. Excited with little sleep but, [I’m] delighted to be working with direk [Gina] Alajar,” she said. “[I’m] sure [I] will be learning so many acting tips from her.”
She added that she embraces her new role — Kendra — for the show. Melendez tells her fans that they can now call her by a new name, and that they have someone new to look out for every afternoon.
“So today, I humbly embrace Kendra as this is my new role, for [“Prima Donnas”]. So [may] bago na kayo tatawagin sa akin. KENDRA! Ang aabangan [niyo] araw araw sa hapon.”
(So there is a new name you can call me by. Kendra! She is who you will wait for everyday in the afternoon.)
