LISTEN: Bruce Springsteen shares new single ‘There Goes My Miracle’
“There Goes My Miracle” is the second song to be released from acclaimed singer-songwriter Bruce Springsteen’s upcoming album “Western Stars”, out on June 14.
Similar to the previously issued lead single “Hello Sunshine”, “There Goes My Miracle” draws inspiration from the Southern California pop records of the 1960s and early 1970s.
The song features a dense orchestral arrangement, reminiscent of the Beach Boys’ 1966 cult album “Pet Sounds”.
“There Goes My Miracle” will appear on the Boss’s new studio album “Western Stars”. which follows his 2014 “High Hopes.” The record, produced by Ron Aniello, features contributions by violinist Soozie Tyrell and keyboardists Charlie Giordano and David Sancious.
In an interview with Variety, Springsteen teased “a singer-songwriter record.”
“It’s connected to my solo records writing-wise, more ‘Tunnel of Love’ and ‘Devils & Dust’, but it’s not like them at all. Just different characters living their lives,” he added.
So far, the singer has not announced any plans to go on tour in support of “Western Stars”.
In a recent conversation with filmmaker Martin Scorsese, he revealed that he has already written songs for a potential E Street Band album.
“It just came out of nowhere. And it was good, you know. I had about two weeks of those little daily visitations, and it was so nice,” he said. “It makes you so happy. You go, ‘F**k, I’m not f**ked, all right? There’ll be another tour!'” JB
