MANILA, Philippines — Do you have what it takes to be the next Darna?
ABS-CBN’s film production arm Star Cinema announced Wednesday it would hold public auditions for the role of the iconic Filipina superhero.
In collaboration with Star Magic and Star Hunt, the auditions will take place on May 4 and 5 at the ABS-CBN audience entrance starting 10 a.m.
The Darna hopefuls must be between 20 to 26 years old, at least 5’5″ in height, physically fit, know contact sports, fluent in Tagalog and have had acting experience.

Darna was supposed to be portrayed by actress Liza Soberano, but she exited the project due to a finger bone fracture.

Meanwhile, the movie also changed its director after Erik Matti stepped down citing “creative differences” with Star Cinema. He was replaced by Jerrold Tarog. /cbb
