MANILA, Philippines — Since Marvel’s “Avengers: Endgame” premiered in cinemas last week, fans could not help but notice the resemblance of Tony Award-winning actress Lea Salonga to Captain Marvel played by Brie Larson.

Some fans even posted side-by-side photos of Larson and Salonga sporting short hairstyle to compare their looks.

The Broadway star reacted to the tweets, saying she is flattered to be compared to Larson.

“Not just a few friends sent me photos of Brie Larson as Captain Marvel with the new haircut. Hee hee, thanks, everyone! I’m very flattered! #AvengersEndgame,” Salonga wrote on Twitter Tuesday.

“Avengers: Endgame,” which premiered in Philippine cinemas on April 24 and broke opening day ticket sales records, is the fourth movie of the “Avengers” franchise and the epic conclusion to the 11-year, 22 movies Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). /kga
