How Jake Cuenca handled the nastiest rumor about him
Jake Cuenca is one actor who does not turn in half-hearted portrayals. The Kapamilya hunk could very well be called Mr. Intensity.

What’s more important to you, box-office success or awards? The most important thing for me is to do what I love, and to improve. I want every role and performance to be the performance of a lifetime. Love for the craft that comes first, then everything else comes after.
What has fame taught you? It’s temporary. To last in this industry, it’s going to take a lot of love for the craft and for what you do.

What’s the craziest thing you did for love? I’ve done a lot of crazy things for love, but when I fall in love with someone, I give 110 percent.
What’s the naughtiest thing that you’ve done? My appearances at Bench fashion shows.
What’s a misconception about you that you’d like to correct? Right now, I’m doing “Los Bastardos.” With my role in it, they think I’m the nicest guy in the world. But when I do the role of a villain, they think I’m the most evil person in the world. No matter what role I play, it does not matter what reaction I get, as long as I get a reaction.
What do you find hard to understand about women? I think men would never understand what women really feel when they go through their period.
What’s the biggest love lesson that you’ve learned, so far? After all the relationships I’ve been through, I’ve learned to understand aspects of love that are hard to understand.
What’s the toughest part of being Jake Cuenca? Being a perfectionist in my craft, that’s why I constantly challenge myself. I constantly strive for excellence.
