Lorin Gutierrez stood up for herself after being told she needs to cover up her body.
The young model first turned heads for posting a photo of her wearing an animal-printed bikini, as seen in her Instagram post last April 12.
While most of her followers and celebrity friends were stunned at Gutierrez’s curves, one netizen going by @kenneth_castro_divina told the 15-year-old on Tuesday: “Itago mo yang katawan mo iha (Cover up your body, child)…”

“Dapat may pinaglalaanan yan na special na tao,” the netizen went on. “Wag mong ipagkalandakan.”
(Your body should be for someone special. Don’t flaunt it for everyone else.)

But Gutierrez appeared not to let the comment slip and had an answer to the netizen. “My body doesn’t belong to anyone else apart from me po,” she replied. “That means if i want to show it off, as long as my family is ok with it (which they are) then i will.”
“[G]irls should be able to choose [whether] they want to be more conservative or showy depending on what they feel comfortable with,” she added as a message of empowerment. “[N]ot for a ‘special na tao’ because that special person, whoever they may be, doesn’t own me and should be ok with me being confident in my own skin.”
Gutierrez concluded that she will not cover up for anyone else, and will continue to do what makes her happy and confident.

Gutierrez is the daughter of actress-model Ruffa with ex-husband, Turkish businessman Yilmaz Bektas. She is currently on holiday in Thailand, along with her mom and sister Venice. /ra
