Lorin Gutierrez only wants happiness for mom Ruffa

Ruffa Gutierrez has sacrificed a lot as a single mom, but she is more than blessed to have daughters Lorin and Venice, who are nothing but grateful for everything she’s done to give them a good life.
Ruffa, along with eldest daughter Lorin, recently appeared on morning talk show “Magandang Buhay,” where she shared to hosts Jolina Magdangal, Melai Cantiveros and Karla Estrada—moms themselves—how she had to cut back on trips and shopping for her daughters’ tuition fees.
“Kailangan talaga mag sacrifice para sa pag-aaral ng mga anak natin, sa future ng mga anak natin, especially ako, I’m a single working mom…,” Ruffa shared on Feb. 13.
“Andami ko nang kinut na mga shopping, andami kong kinut na mga trips, kailangan minsan local trips nalang tayo, hindi lagi tayo nasa abroad. Kasi habang tumatanda sila, lalong tumataas ang tuition.”
Lorin, on her end, only has words of praise for her mom, who she called the strongest woman she knows in her life.
“She’s really my role model. I really admire her strength,” Lorin said about Ruffa. “She doesn’t hide things from me and Venice. Alam ko naman kung ano yung pinagdaanan niya before… but every day, she’s still the happiest, most bubbly, most enthusiastic person I know.”
And when it comes to her mom’s love life, Lorin shared that it is not her place to tell her mom who she should or should not be with. At the end of the day, all she cares about is Ruffa’s happiness.
“It’s not my place to tell her, ‘you can’t be with this person.’ The most important thing for me, [with] any of the guys that she likes, is that he makes her happy,” she said. “I don’t want to be the person who stands in the way of her and her happiness.” /ra
