JM De Guzman revealed that he once tried to date his “Araw Gabi” co-star, Barbie Imperial.
“I tried to pursue her,” De Guzman, 30, told talk show host Boy Abunda in a “Tonight with Boy Abunda” guesting on Wednesday, April 10.
The actor said that he tried to court the 20-year-old actress after their show “Araw Gabi” went off the air. “Pero maging magkaibigan muna tapos tignan natin kung may mangyari or something,” De Guzman said.
(But the two of us have to start off as friends first, then we’ll see what will happen from there.)
However, De Guzman said that what kept them from entering a relationship together were the pressures of work—Imperial’s career was just starting off, while he had just returned to show biz.
When Abunda clarified to the actor that their relationship did not work but they had tried, De Guzman confirmed this, adding that they dated not longer than one month.
In a previous “Tonight with Boy Abunda” interview, Imperial said that De Guzman would stand a chance if he tried to court her.
