Arjo Atayde ‘inspired’ by Maine Mendoza: ‘I love her company so much’
Arjo Atayde opened up on his relationship with Maine Mendoza during a talk show guesting today, April 1.

He admitted on “Magandang Buhay” that he shares his proud moments with the actress and that he expresses his affection for her through the time they spend together.
When asked about expressing love, he said, “It’s so easy to say ‘I love you’ but it’s different when you show it.”
His preferred love language is “quality time.” “Clingy ako, e. Clingy akong tao (I’m a clingy type of person),” he said. “I love her company so much. So it’s always something I look forward to and I’m very thankful for.”
He also said that in courting Mendoza, he still felt some nervousness in meeting her family. However, he noted, “The fun thing about a relationship, hindi ka puwedeng tumigil sa pagliligaw (you can’t stop courting).”
He clarified too that they were still in the dating phase.
Atayde’s younger sister Gela, who guested on the show, revealed that her brother was in a happier mood than usual thanks to Mendoza.
“I’ve never really seen him this super, like, super involved in the relationship,” she said. “And even my family noticed he’s more cheerful and when we talk about things, he’s very enthusiastic about it.”
Atayde explained why he could be in a brighter mood recently. “It’s hard to find yourself, somewhere to put yourself, somewhere in some spot in this industry.”
