Although he is a talented director himself, Dan Villegas could not help but be starstruck upon meeting another acclaimed director, Asghar Farhadi.
The “Exes Baggage” director is one of the lucky ones who attended the Persian filmmaker’s masterclass held in Hong Kong. This he showed on Instagram Friday.
In a video, Villegas is shown next to Farhadi while he grants his request for an autograph. The video was taken by Jennylyn Mercado, who worked with him in the movie “All of You.”
Villegas also shared snaps of the filmmaker while he shares his knowledge in making movies during his masterclass. “OMG ASGHAR FARHADIII!” Villegas expressed. “Super happy to be able to attend his masterclass.”
Farhadi is a two-time Academy Award-winning director known for films such as “A Separation” and “The Salesman,” both earning the Oscar for Best Foreign Language Film.
Meanwhile, Villegas is the director behind such films as–besides “Exes Baggage” and “All of You”–“English Only Please” and “The Breakup Playlist.” /ra
