Is Korina Sanchez clapping back at Jay Sonza for questioning her motherhood?
As Korina Sanchez learns the ropes in raising two newborns at once, she is not letting negativity get in the way of her important role as a mother.
The “Rated K” TV host posted yesterday, March 11, a picture of twins Pepe and Pilar to drive home a point about internet bashing. In it, the two babies appear drowsy, with Pepe barely keeping his eyes open and Pilar in a full yawn.
“Sabi ko sa kids ko, ‘Hey, may mga pilit daw na nag nenegative tungkol sa atin’. Sagot nila, ‘Oh Mom, that’s soooo boring. Tulog na tayo,’” she wrote.
(I told my kids, “Hey, there are people insisting on making negative news about us.” They replied, “Oh Mom, that’s soooo boring. Let’s sleep.”)

While Sanchez did not mention any names, the Instagram post comes after newscaster Jay Sonza’s tweet on March 10, which said, “I didn’t know that even if you are past the retirement age and your wife is almost 60 with no functioning reproductive organs/facilities can still have babies thru IVF. Ganoon ba talaga iyon mam/sir (Is that how it really is Ma’am/Sir)?”

“The method is a blessing that benefited Mar and Korina with their beautiful twins. #HuwagKangTamad mag research, ha (Don’t be lazy to research).”

Sanchez, 54, and Roxas, 61, opted for gestational surrogacy to conceive their babies, DZMM host Pat Daza revealed last February. The procedure involves using in vitro fertilization (IVF) to make an embryo which is transferred to a surrogate mother.
The couple’s friend, DZMM host Pat Daza, previously said in her radio program “Pasada Sais Trenta” that the two indeed opted for gestational surrogacy. This was reported by ABS-CBN, Sanchez’s home network, last February.
Sanchez is currently in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania caring for her infants. JB
