Superboy joins ‘Titans’

Australian actor Joshua Orpin has been cast to play the Teen of Steel, Superboy, in the second season of the reimagined, live-action “Titans” series.
The DC Comics character briefly appeared in the initial season’s finale, albeit silhouetted.
Superboy, aka Conner Kent, will also appear alongside a super-powered dog, Krypto.
Both characters debuted in the comic books several decades ago.
Orpin, 24, previously appeared in the comedy-drama film “The Neon Spectrum” and the short “You, Me & Karen.”
‘Absolutely ecstatic’
The actor’s stage credits include “A Midsummer Night’s Dream,” “The Tempest” and “The Diary of Anne Frank.”
On his Instagram page, Orpin posted a comic book panel depicting the teen hero, and wrote in the caption, “Absolutely ecstatic to announce that I’ll be joining the cast of DC’s ‘Titans’ in Season 2! Couldn’t be more thrilled to be working with this talented team.”—OLIVER PULUMBARIT
