Yeng Constantino dropped a photo teaser of her new project in the works last Wednesday, Feb. 27, on her Instagram account.
The “Ikaw” hitmaker simply wrote the word “Abangan,” tagging the Filipino alternative pop-rock band Callalily and its lead singer Kean Cipriano.
Their fans, the Yengsters and Callalistas, were quick to react and express their excitement for their idols’ upcoming song collaboration.
Meanwhile, Cipriano seconded the teaser with a photo of the band, together with the pop rock princess.
In his post, the Callalily frontman revealed that their 2018 release, the song “Ex”, was the one they teamed up with Constantino, and is set to be out soon in digital platforms.
Callalily’s “Ex” talks about forgiveness and a second chance given to an ex-lover, despite all the wrong things done. It was written by the band’s drummer Lem Belaro.
Last July, the song’s music video featured four real-life ex-couples, reunited after a long period of time, through a social experiment by the band.
In the end, the band assured fans that “no hearts were broken in the making of the film.” JB
