MANILA, Philippines — Actor Arjo Atayde shared via Instagram on Sunday a never-before-seen photo of him and actress-host Maine Mendoza — both of them widely grinning while in a tight embrace.
Atayde penned this short but sweet message to Mendoza, just in time for her birthday: “My reason for being. Happy birthday to my main. ❤️,” he wrote.
Atayde and Mendoza had been the subject of many dating rumors until the actor broke his silence and said that they were “exclusively dating” each other.

After his revelation, the two had shared photos of each other which had fans speculating even more.

More than a month later, the actress-host reportedly confirmed that they were indeed dating in a post on her blog, which remained inaccessible as of this writing.
In screenshots that circulated online, Mendoza supposedly wrote: “It’s true, I am dating Arjo…We’ve been going out for some time now.”

She also mentioned being friends with her onscreen partner and actor Alden Richards and said that she was “well aware” that many did not support her love life.
However, Atayde’s post was still peppered with comments of support and heart emojis from celebrity friends and fans.
