LOOK: Saab Magalona, Jim Bacarro mark Pancho’s 1st birthday with Mexican-themed party

The afternoon party was held outdoors at a backyard decorated with Mexican banderitas. Wooden picnic tables were decked with colorful printed table runners, a decorative cactus and a pot of flowers.

A picture-perfect corner was decorated with Pancho’s name in red letters and lightbulbs, a sombrero, a guitar and fun cactus decor.

Of course, his three-tiered birthday cake fit the theme too: in a bright blue color, the layers were decked with designs of banderitas and a piñata at the top.

Kids were kept well-entertained with a play area, with toys and books. In another table, children could also paint their own maracas and make their own slime kits.

But adults got hooked on the activities too — Magalona reminded her friends Megan Young and Lauren Young that the slime-making kits were for kids.

“Young, ‘di ba (right)?” the beauty queen innocently replied when she was caught in the act, as seen in Magalona’s Instagram Stories.

Besides family and friends who attended, including Bacarro’s parents Gerry and Bing, and Magalona’s mom, Pia Magalona, Bacarro noticed someone else with them too.

He greeted his late daughter Luna by taking a picture of the moon that day. “Hi sweetheart,” he wrote.

Even if Pancho seemed tired of all the partying, his parents took the time to sing happy birthday with his dad on guitar.
