Precious Lara Quigaman and Marco Alcaraz are turning a new leaf as they officially moved to Canada with their three children, although they will return to the Philippines for “special projects.”
The couple’s move was announced by talent manager Noel Ferrer on his Instagram page on Thursday, Jan. 2, while greeting the couple on their 14th wedding anniversary.
“Speaking of people I love and miss, happy 14th anniversary to @marcoalcaraz & @laraquigaman who have found such a happy and peaceful life in Canada with their three boys,” he wrote.
“They fly in for really special projects. ehem ehem, bukas naman ang tindahan (my doors are open) but they are really based there now,” he continued.
Meanwhile, Quigaman spoke about the move in a joint Instagram post with Alcaraz. The post also includes photos of the Vancouver-based venue where they held their secret wedding 14 years ago.
“Fourteen [years] ago, we tied the knot in Yaletown, in downtown Vancouver… we retraced the steps we took after the wedding where we had our post-nuptial photos taken,” she said. “Grateful, so grateful for this opportunity to start the New Year and celebrate our anniversary.”
The Miss International 2005 titleholder, Alcaraz and their three children also rang in the New Year in Canada, where Quigaman expressed her gratitude to God for His “faithfulness” on Instagram.
“Just as God was with us in 2024… He is with us and will be with us in this new year. New mercies! Thank You, God, for Your faithfulness… Hello 2025,” she wrote.
The couple made headlines in June 2024 after Quigaman denied that she and Alcaraz had parted ways. She also joked that she and her husband would only separate when “it’s time to go to the comfort room.”
Quigaman and Alcaraz tied the knot in a civil wedding in Vancouver in January 2011, and said “I do” in a second ceremony at the Hacienda Isabella in Indang, Cavite, in July 2012.
