‘Wonder Years’ cast’s ‘family’ reunion
The former child actors of “The Wonder Years” had a reunion earlier this week. Fred Savage, Danica McKellar and Josh Saviano who played Kevin, Winnie and Paul, respectively, were together in a photo posted by the actress on her Instagram page.
“[Does] this group look familiar to anyone? I got to see these guys for lunch yesterday,” wrote McKellar. “It was so much fun to catch up and hear how their beautiful families are doing! And yes, [Josh Saviano], I totally agree—you guys are like family. I mean, we did grow up together after all.”
She put a number of hashtags, including “childhood friends” and “childhood coworkers.”
Decades after the coming-of-age comedy-drama series ended in 1993, the three real-life pals remained close friends, despite following different career paths: Savage continued with his acting career and was most recently seen in “Once Upon a Deadpool.” He has directed episodes of TV shows, including “Modern Family.” McKellar is the author of math books, while Saviano is a lawyer. All three are now parents.
No word if they’ll be in an updated or rebooted “Wonder Years,” however.—OLIVER PULUMBARIT
