Chito Miranda wowed by Julie Anne San Jose’s rap skills

MANILA, Philippines — Parokya ni Edgar frontman Chito Miranda was all praises for Asia’s Pop Sweetheart Julie Anne San Jose’s rap skills in her performance at GMA Network’s “Studio 7.”

Miranda posted on Monday an Instagram video of San Jose’s performance of Parokya ni Edgar’s hit song “Bagsakan” with Kapuso singer-actress Gabbi Garcia.

“Tingnan mo ‘tong si Julie Anne San Jose. Una, gumawa ng version ng ‘Your Song’ na sobrang ganda. Sabi ko nalang: ang galing talaga nitong babaeng ‘to,” Miranda wrote in the caption.

“Tapos di pa nakunteto… binanatan nya pa yung stanza ni Gloc sa Bagsakan! Sobrang galing sarap sabunutan,” Miranda added.

San Jose left a comment to thank Miranda, saying “Salamat idol @chitomirandajr simulan na natin,” to which the latter replied with “Game!”

In a Twitter post, San Jose also reacted to the compliment. She said, “Okay lang po na masabunutan ni Sir Chito.. It’s an honor.”

“Bagsakan” is Parokya ni Edgar’s 2005 hit song featuring Gloc 9 and the late Master Rapper Francis Magalona. /cbb
