LOOK: Julia Barretto wows in Mexico escape

Julia Barretto is taking a well-deserved escape after wrapping up her latest teleserye.

After “Ngayon at Kailanman” ended last Jan. 18, the actress announced on Instagram last Jan. 31 that she would be traveling through “5 airports in 2 weeks.”

On the same day, she posted pictures of herself at the dreamy Mexican hotel Azulik, which has architecture that complemented the Mayan jungle and the Caribbean sea.

According to its website, it ensures that guests find harmony with nature by eliminating television and using lights without electricity.

“Out here, nowhere to be found,” Barretto wrote as she sat on a net that overlooked the jungle.

She also posed for sun-kissed shots in a cabana by the sea.

It seems love team partner and rumored boyfriend Joshua Garcia was so enamored by the photo that he wrote, “Mine.”

“Urs,” Barretto wrote back.

She stopped by the Suytun Cenote, one of the thousands of cenotes or water reservoirs in the Yucatan Peninsula.

With her on the adventure was a close friend, Cheryl Pages-Alba who shared a picture of them both on the platform.

“It’s like waking up in a dream,” Barretto described the scene of limestone and aqua-blue water as she stood on a circular stone platform.

The actress showed off her slim figure in backless or cropped outfits. One of these was a matching bandeau and skirt in a floral blue print.

She also preferred one-piece swimsuits — she assured fans that she was wearing a backless swimsuit when she took a dip into the water and only a yellow-orange fabric could be seen on the bottom part of her body.

“I’m not naked, thanks,” she wrote.

Happy adventures, Julia! JB
