Enrique Gil and Liza Soberano surprised students around the University Belt in Manila to distribute not red, but black roses.
The duo, also popularly known as LizQuen, showered students from various campuses including the University of Santo Tomas (UST), Far Eastern University (FEU), Centro Escolar University (CEU) and San Sebastian College with flowers. This was seen in a video released by production company Black Sheep on Thursday.
Gil and Soberano’s first stop was UST on España Boulevard, where students dressed in yellow shirts appeared to be giddy around the couple. As they handed out the roses, some were even lucky to take selfies with them.
They then set foot on FEU, where they were met yet again by surprised fans who did not expect they would visit. And while in San Sebastian College, one fan managed to get a hug from Gil.
The actor said that what they did “feels good,” adding, “It feels like we’re Santa Claus for a day.”
Both even stopped over at the LRT-2 Legarda Station, where they handed out flowers to tricycle drivers and even the security guards posted at the station.
Gil and Soberano will play university students Raf and Christine in the upcoming film “Alone/Together,” which will be released in theaters on Feb. 13. /ra
