Days after Lolit Solis learned she may be implicated in the Kris Aquino-Nicko Falcis issue, the talent manager and columnist refuted Falcis’ claims that she, along with Darla Sauler and other “paid” journalists, were in Aquino’s payroll.
Nicko’s brother, Atty. Jesus Falcis, recently told Solis that she should ask for an apology from Nicko for her smear campaign against him. He said Solis was the first to name Nicko during the early days of the issue with Aquino, and that she created an intrigue by making it look as if Nicko was tempted to steal money because he was in a relationship with Thai actor Peach Chirathivat.
Meanwhile, Nicko warned Solis for her libelous statements and pointed out that she regularly receives money and gift checks from Aquino.
Solis, on her end, did not deny receiving gift checks from Aquino and shared via Instagram on Jan. 30 that Aquino must have felt she was depressed and problematic because she sent her S&R gift checks and a late Christmas gift.
“Nagtataka ako kung bakit may nagsasabi na publicist ako ni Kris,” wrote Solis. “Dapat alam nila na wala ako sa payroll dahil relasyon namin Kris love ngayon, bukas tampuhan na naman pero iyon love at respeto nandun.”
(I am wondering why there are those who say that I am a publicist of Kris. They should know that I am not on the payroll because my relationship with Kris is like this: love now, misunderstanding again tomorrow, but the love and respect is there.)
“Dapat talaga you love her to like her,” she said of her away-bati (love-hate) relationship with Aquino. “And honestly, ewan ko, but my liking for Kris is as much as how I love her, kaya galit ngayon, bati bukas, ok lang.”
(You really have to love her to like her. And honestly, I don’t know, but my liking for Kris is as much as how I love her, that’s why it’s like we’d fight now but reconcile again tomorrow, and it’s okay.)
Solis also refused to apologize to Nicko, as per the Philippine Entertainment Portal on Jan. 29, saying that she has nothing to apologize for.
“Ano ang kailangan kong i-apologize? Wala naman akong natatandaang ginawa ko,” Solis was quoted as saying. “Paano ako mag-a-apologize, hindi ko naman alam kung anong kasalanan ang ginawa ko?”
(What do I have to apologize for? I do not remember doing anything. How will I apologize when I do not know what I did wrong?)
Solis also managed to joke about possibly being sued, saying Aquino should pay for her lawyer. Cody Cepeda/JB
