All thanks to a toy lie detector, Arjo Atayde may have involuntarily given hints on his rumored relationship with Maine Mendoza.
The Kapamilya actor got caught lying by the toy device when asked by host Vice Ganda in a “Gandang Gabi Vice” guesting on Sunday.
Vice Ganda posed the question, “Magjowa na ba kayo in Maine Mendoza?” (Are you and Maine Mendoza already a couple?)
“No,” Atayde firmly answered. Right after his answer, the toy lie detector where his hand was strapped zapped him, making him run away back to his seat while Vice Ganda screamed.
Atayde also got zapped when asked other questions earlier, such as if he was better than his “The General’s Daughter” co-star JC De Vera, and if he considers himself “dakila” (great).
Atayde’s co-stars, De Vera and Angel Locsin were also not spared by the lie detector test. Both of them supposedly got caught lying, prompting De Vera to say, “Sira talaga ‘yan eh!” (That device is really defective!)
Atayde and Mendoza have been the center of speculations lately, about whether or not they are in a relationship. The two have been spotted spending time together, such as in a Makati restaurant and a BGC bar in October and November last year, as per reports by Philippine Entertainment Portal.
In a press conference for their 2018 Metro Manila Film Festival blockbuster film “Jack Em Popoy: The Puliscredibles” last December, Mendoza broke her silence about the matter, saying that she and Atayde were going out “as friends.” Katrina Hallare/JB
