Kris Aquino apologizes after conversation with Nicko Falcis surfaced online
MANILA, Philippines — Showbiz personality Kris Aquino apologized on Tuesday after an audio recording of her conversation with former project manager Nicko Falcis made its rounds online.
“Nagkamali ako sa simula, and inaamin ko ‘yon, and I apologize,” Aquino said in a Facebook livestream from Singapore.

“Nagkamali ako dahil sa tindi ng galit ko, dahil noong panahon na ‘yon, I’ll put everything into context, my son was breaking down, because he knew kung gaano ka-serious ang autoimmune disease,” she added.
Referring to her son Bimby with former husband James Yap, Aquino added: “He knew also kung gaano katindi ang allergies ng nanay niya, that’s why we came here para malaman namin, may chance ba para malabanan pa. If you see your son who is 11 years old breaking down, hindi ka ba magagalit?
An audio recording of Aquino and Falcis’ conversation recently surfaced on social media where the former said, “Wag ka nang bumalik sa Pilipinas, papapatay ka ng pamilya ko. You know what’s wrong with me? May lupus ako, Nicko!”
“Sinasabi niya, why am I blaming it on him? Because six months prior to that, I was okay. Do the search. Autoimmune can stay dormant but any stressful situation, lalabas yan. Kahit sinong doctor, sasabihin yan,” Aquino added.
Aquino also alleged that the audio recording was edited: “Inedit niya e. Diretsuhin ko ah. Yung inedit na portion, ‘You stole my money. It’s not enough for you. You also stole my life, and now you’re stealing me from my children.’”
The actress was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease when she flew to Singapore back in October 2018 to undergo some medical tests.
In November 2018, she filed criminal complaints against Falcis for allegedly personally using funds from her production company, Kristina C. Aquino Productions (KCAP).
Meanwhile, Falcis filed his counter-affidavits last December 2018 and January 2019 in response to Aquino’s criminal complaints.
Aquino ended her broadcast by thanking her followers: “I want to say thank you again. At my very worst, when you only heard their side, you still believed in me. I apologize that I let anger get the better of me.”
She added, in jest, “But it’s not going to happen again. Kasi now I know, hindi na sa phone, diretso na.” /jpv
