The hosts of “It’s Showtime” went on a well-deserved break recently by flying to Hong Kong where they ate and had fun to their hearts’ content. The trip was well documented on social media where the hosts kept their fans in the know about their adventures during the trip.
Anne Curtis, Vice Ganda, Amy Castillo, Jhong Hilario, Korean national Ryan Bang, Vhong Navarro and Karylle, among others, were palpably excited and did not waste time as they posed for pictures inside the plane and at the Hong Kong International Airport. Mariel Rodriguez, unfortunately, was not able to join the trip.
Their two-day vacation in Hong Kong marked the first time the crew came together and bonded out of the country, so they made sure to make it a moment that would last a lifetime. Navarro, for one, expressed his gratitude to Curtis and Vice Ganda on “It’s Showtime” last Jan. 14 for treating them during the trip.
“Maraming salamat Vice at Anne sa mga pasabog na panlilibre sa amin,” he said.
“Ha? Hoy usapan natin babayaran niyo ko pag uwi ng Pilipinas,” Vice Ganda retorted in jest.
Curtis, meanwhile, shared that they did not think about work at all during their trip and were only concerned with fun and chow.
“Had the most amazing 2 days of #ItsBreaktime in Hongkers,” she wrote on Instagram on Jan. 14. “Doing nothing but laugh, kain, chikahan, kain, shopping, kain and good ol’ quality time with my family of 10 years. No work, just pure fun.”
A vacation is not a vacation without gaining a few pounds. Castillo shared a picture of them inside a van en route to Yung Kee Restaurant, ready to indulge in good Chinese food.
“Time to eat… Chinese food eto na!”
Hilario also shared a sweet post about his co-hosts, who he called his “family.”
“Di natin hanap yaman sa mundo… para sumaya… basta’t kasama kapamilya… kahit ano pa yan kayang kaya,” he said.
Their short, yet memorable, trip eventually came to an end. The hosts flew back to Manila to make it just in time on “It’s Showtime” on Jan. 14, Monday, to do what they do best: spread joy to the “madlang people.” /ra
