Maine Mendoza said she was all good with rival Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) entry “Fantastica,” which stars Vice Ganda.
The Dubsmash Queen and “Eat Bulaga” mainstay on Christmas Day reacted to a fake Twitter post that had her saying “Fantastica” was “the most nonsense movie of all time.”
The supposed tweet, apparently edited to make it look that Mendoza posted it, even had a “fake” reply from Vice himself: “Thanks for watching. Haven’t seen the movie. Mukha kasi wala ring kwenta (It looks like it’s nonsense too).”
And it seems the tweet reached Mendoza, who wanted to make sure there is no bad blood between her and Vice.
“Yikes! Paskong pasko wala pa ding magawang matino yung ibang tao (Yikes! Even on Christmas, some people don’t do anything sensible),” Mendoza tweeted. “This is edited, guys. Pero nood nalang din kayo Jack Em Popoy at Fantastica para happy tayong lahat (Just watch “Jack Em Popoy” and “Fantastica” so we could all be happy).”

Both films are currently enjoying success in the box office, as these were the top films of the MMFF so far. The festival opened on Christmas Day and will run through Jan. 7, 2019. /ra
