Actress Sarah Lahbati took to social media on Wednesday, Dec. 19, to update her fans on her mother Esther’s condition after she figured in a drowning incident in Siargao recently. In her post, Lahbati asked for prayers for her mother, who is currently in the intensive care unit and whose lungs are still infected from the incident.

“Please continue praying for my mama. She’s finally back in Manila but her lungs are infected from the drowning yesterday and she is still in pain from the loss of blood when she vomited,” shared Lahbati.

Apart from the infected lungs and pain, Lahbati said her mother was running a fever and had difficulty in breathing.

“She is currently in the ICU… Lord please heal her. Please,” she beseeched.

According to Lahbati on Dec. 18, her mother almost drowned and vomited blood while island-hopping in Siargao with her father.

“The currents were too strong and she drowned… my dad saved her but she still lost a lot of blood and was unconscious,” Lahbati said then. “They had to fight the current to get to the boat.”

Lahbati’s mother is currently in St. Luke’s Medical Center, as per her latest update.  /ra
