Netizens support Catriona-Clint relationship: Be strong, be patient

MANILA, Philippines — As the reigning Miss Universe, Catriona Gray is set to live in New York for a year starting January. But even before she leaves for the Big Apple, her longtime boyfriend seems to be missing her already.

On Instagram, Clint Bondad posted a selfie with her girlfriend’s team and close friends after landing in Manila from Bangkok. His post was captioned: “I guess for a little while I won’t be able to cook dinner for you @catriona_gray when you would come visit and nap on the couch…And then me eventually trying to wake you up with a little love on a fork <heart> hoping you like it <heart> Thanks for being amazing…”

Bondad and Gray met five years ago in a tiny elevator in Baguio, on their way to a commercial shoot for a telco firm. The Fil-Aussie beauty queen and Fil-German model-actor have been dating for over six years now.

Many netizens flooded Bondad’s post with messages of support. Some even think they are a perfect match, a “couple goals,” and a “perfect couple.”

Also, netizens advised the two to stay strong during the time they will have be away from each other, adding that distance is only a small hurdle in their relationship.

Last December 17, Gray clinched the country’s fourth Miss Universe crown after Pia Wurtzbach (2015), Margie Moran (1973) and Gloria Diaz (1969). The Miss Universe 2018 pageant was held in Thailand. /kga
