Billy Crawford missed performing at Frontrow Cares, the biggest charity musical festival of the year, after tearing a ligament in his ankle. The concert was held at the SM Mall of Asia Concert Grounds yesterday, Dec. 16, and the singer-dancer-host expressed his frustration and regret on social media on the same day where he apologized to his fans and Frontrow Philippines for missing the event.
Crawford took to his Instagram Stories on Dec. 16 where he shared a clip of his bandaged left foot resting on top of a chair beside an ice pack and a bag of ice.
“Of all the freaking days in a year, it had to happen today!” Crawford lamented. “On the way to x-ray this crappy ankle of mine. Hey, I might have a record, 7th time tearing my ligament!”
In another Instagram Story, he showed a video of him inside an ambulance on the way to St. Luke’s Medical Center while a paramedic bandaged his foot.
“I wanted Xmas lights, this is what I get!” he said.
Crawford was definitely overcome with regret over the incident and extended his apologies once again to Frontrow Philippines and all his fans who came to see him, vowing that he would be back.
“I truly apologize to @frontrowphoff and to everyone who came out to see me and all their favorite artists,” he said. “Stay up y’all I’ll be back!”
He also shared a selfie of him while a doctor wrapped his foot with a cast behind him. “Heavenly Father I pray for quick recovery. In Jesus name.”
The Frontrow Cares concert saw a whopping crowd of 12,000 attendees and world-class performances from the likes of Ely Buendia, Jake Zyrus, Parokya ni Edgar, Andrew E., Gloc 9, Spongecola, Callalily and Sam Concepcion, among many others.
Speedy recovery, Billy! JB
