WATCH: Ellen DeGeneres does crazy antics to embarrass Michelle Obama in book signing
Ellen DeGeneres is on with her antics once again as an author holds a book signing with her fans. But the writer was none other than former United States First Lady Michelle Obama.
The television host was ready to help out—and distract—Obama as she surprised fans with a book tour of her memoir, “Becoming.” This was seen in a segment of “The Ellen DeGeneres” aired Thursday.
People at a Costco store looked excited and took out their phones as the former first lady was ready to sign copies of her memoir. DeGeneres then built more hype by taking out a megaphone and announcing Obama’s presence in the outlet.
DeGeneres did all sorts of mischief beside Obama, such as helping her sign her books and ripping a page to serve as a free sample. She also embarrassed the first lady, as she joked that she asked her to buy a big pack of baby diapers.
At one point of the segment, an elderly woman wanted to get a signed copy of Obama’s book. As the woman told Obama how her name spelled, she told DeGeneres, “Stop distracting her, Ellen.”

Obama is currently on a national book tour of her newly released memoir. In her book, she revealed that she went through in-vitro fertilization to conceive her daughters, and how she reacted when Donald Trump won the 2016 U.S. Presidential elections. /ra
