Liam Hemsworth, Miley Cyrus lose Malibu home to California wildfire
The unsparing wildfire that hit California recently has claimed the lives of at least 42 people, with hundreds more missing. It also left many communities scorched and obliterated, offering no reprieve even to the celebrities who had to evacuate their beautiful homes in search of safety.
Actor Liam Hemsworth was among the many celebrities whose homes were ravaged by the wildfire, taking to social media on Nov. 13 (Nov. 14 in the Philippines) to share to his fans what was left of their home.
His picture showed his Malibu home reduced to rubble, with nothing left at all to salvage. Burnt letters that spell “Love” can be seen in the foreground.
“It’s been a heartbreaking few days. This is what’s left of my house. Love,” Hemsworth wrote solemnly. “Many people in Malibu and surrounding areas in California have lost their homes also and my heart goes out to everyone who was affected by these fires.”

Hemsworth’s fiancée, singer-actress Miley Cyrus, echoed the same sentiments as she took to twitter on Nov. 12 to express to her fans that she is devastated over the wildfire’s destruction.
“I am one of the lucky ones. My animals and LOVE OF MY LIFE made it out safely & that’s all that matters right now,” she wrote, referring to Hemsworth. “My house no longer stands but the memories shared with family & friends stand strong…”
