Nothing makes a relationship more official than introducing a boyfriend or girlfriend to one’s family. Actress Jessy Mendiola brought her boyfriend Luis Manzano with her to Okinawa, Japan to meet her older sister, whom she had not seen for five years.
“To my travel partner and partner in life Jessy Mendiola, thank you for taking me to Okinawa with you to meet your family too,” Manzano wrote in a post he shared via Instagram yesterday, Nov. 12. “I can’t wait for our next journey together. I miss and love you howhow!”
The actor uploaded a photo of him kissing the left cheek of the smiling actress.
He also shared a sweet photo of them locked in an embrace while being surrounded by plants.
Mendiola, meanwhile, shared a “kilig”-inducing photo of them at Okinawa American Village. “You light up my world,” she wrote in the photo.
Mendiola and Manzano flew to Japan to meet the actress’ older sister Pamela Martinez, who she lovingly calls “ate Pampuy.”
“Finally got to see my ate after 5 years! Sobrang namiss ko siya!” Mendiola stated in a separate post on Nov. 8, expressing her happiness over her sister moving to Japan from the United States. “Sobrang bilis ng panahon, huling naalala ko dalaga ka pa. Ngayon mommy and wife ka na!”
(Finally, I got to see my older sister after five years! I really missed her! Time flies by so fast, the last time I can remember, you were still single. Now you are both a mommy and a wife!)
To celebrate their reunion, the celebrity couple and Martinez’s family visited a popular local tourist attraction, Nago Pineapple Park. It is theme park dedicated to pineapples and other tropical fruits.
Amid speculations of Mendiola and Manzano’s engagement in August this year, Manzano’s mother, Batangas 6th District Representative Vilma Santos-Recto, expressed her approval of the actress for her son. Santos-Recto stated that she has given her blessings to the two; she also confirmed that the couple has already been talking about marriage. JB
