Jolina Magdangal and Marvin Agustin may once again team up for the big screen.

Magdangal celebrated her 40th birthday on Tuesday, Nov. 6, and even got a big surprise from her former love-team partner Agustin during the event. But the biggest surprise may come from the duo themselves, who are eager to once again work together in a project, according to a report by Push.

“Actually matagal na kaming nag-ko-contact-an ni Marvin pero hindi lang talaga kami nabibigyan ng chance maupo tapos pag-usapan,” said the “Magandang Buhay” host.

(Actually we’ve been in contact for a long time but we never got the chance to sit down and really talk about it.)

“Pero parang two months ago, galing siya sa ibang bansa, sabi niya yun daw yung aasikasuhin niya hanggang 2019 dahil gusto talaga namin gumawa ng project na involved talaga kami.”

(Around two months ago, after he got back from overseas, he said it will be his goal until 2019 to really do a project that we both will be involved in.)

The two celebrities insisted on making the new project a follow-up to their 1998 film “Labs Kita, Okay Ka Lang?” which would involve reprising their roles as Ned and Bujoy.

“Either co-prod or talagang hands on kami dun sa project, dun sa istorya, sa lahat. Basta gusto namin something na konektado sa ‘Labs Kita, Okay Ka Lang?’,” said Magdangal.

(Either co-produced or we get really hands-on with the project, with the story, with everything. As long as it’s connected with “Labs Kita, Okay Ka Lang?”)

Magdangal started her TV career in 1992 when she became a cast member of the youth-oriented variety show “Ang TV.” More than 20 years later, Jolens continue to be a constant presence in the Philippine showbiz industry. She is currently married to Rivermaya drummer Mark Escueta.

The singer-actress with seemingly boundless youthful energy said her secret is keeping a positive outlook in life no matter what it throws at you. “Siguro ano lang, masayahin lang na hindi ko sinasabi na perfect ako na sobrang masaya ako araw-araw. Meron din akong dinadamdam. Meron din minsan mga iniisip na nararamdaman pero dahil siguro lagi akong pina-pinositive ng asawa ko.”

(I guess it’s just because I’m a naturally happy person. I’m not saying I’m perfect, but I am fully happy every day. There are also times when I am down and think of things that make me feel down, but it helps that my husband does his best to keep me positive.).  Alfred Bayle /ra
