Arra San Agustin ditches studying medicine to pursue showbiz career
Kapuso actress Arra San Agustin said she’s happy she chose show business over studying medicine.
“Mas magiging masaya ako sa pinili ko kesa mag-doktor kapag sinasabi sa akin ng mga tao na bakit hindi ko ituloy ang medicine,” the actress said in an interview with PEP.ph.
San Agustin graduated with a degree in psychology at De La Salle University before joining the sixth season of StarStruck in 2015.
Explaining why she chose the entertainment industry over her studies, she said: “Kung ipipilit ko, at the end of the day, baka mag-back out ako dahil hindi na ako masaya.”
Nonetheless, she shared that her degree helped a lot in her role on GMA Network’s drama series “My Special Tatay.” Her character, Carol, is the best friend of lead actor Ken Chan’s character, Boyet, who has a mild intellectual disability in the drama.
