IV of Spades meets Panic! At The Disco’s Brendon Urie

Disco-funk trio of IV of Spades shared their excitement on social media after meeting Panic! At The Disco’s frontman Brendon Urie on Saturday, Oct. 20.

Lead guitarist of the Filipino band Blaster Silonga shared a clip of their encounter with Urie in a tweet on Saturday with caption: “We met Brendon!”

“This is so cool, you guys are so cool,” Urie said in the short video.

Zild Benitez, lead vocalist and bassist of IV of Spades, replied, “We’re nervous. We’ve been listening to you since we were young.”

Benitez also shared a photo of the band with the Urie in a tweet and wrote, “Unforgettable experience.”

IV of Spades was the front act for Panic! At The Disco’s concert in Manila billed as “Pray for the Wicked” at the Mall of Asia (MOA) Arena.

The band consisting of Benitez, Silonga and drummer Badjao De Castro recently won four awards at the 31st Awit Awards: Music Video of the Year, Record of the Year, Favorite Group Artist and Best Performance by a Group Recording Artist.

They are nominated at the MTV Europe Music Award 2018 in the Best Southeast Asian Act category.

The trio will be heading to Hong Kong in November to play at Clockenflap Festival, where they will share the stage with Interpol, David Byrne, Khalid, Wolf Alice, among others. /cbb
