Dimples Romana’s eyelash-extension salon business was inspired by her passion to empower women by making them look good.
The “Kadenang Ginto” star recalled during an interview with Push that she first thought of putting up a food-related business. However, she realized she wasn’t passionate about it and changed her mind.
“Dapat kasi maaga mo ma-detect yun e. As an entrepreneur, you need to figure out where you are good at. Kasi pag hindi ka magaling doon, hindi mo yon passion, parang mahihirapan ka talaga to sustain the business,” she explained.
(You need to detect these things early on. As an entrepreneur, you need to figure out where you are good at. Because if you’re not good at it, and it’s not your passion, you’ll really struggle to sustain the business.)
Romana then referred to her idea of women empowerment as an “inside job.”
“Sometimes people think na ang babae nagpapaganda para sa ibang tao, (but) it’s really more for us,” she said.
(Sometimes people think women make themselves pretty for other people, but it’s really more for us.)
The actress recently opened the 14th branch of her eyelash-extension salon at the Lansbergh Building along Tomas Morato avenue in Quezon City on Oct. 18.
As for her acting career, she currently plays one of the antagonists in the TV drama “Kadenang Ginto.” Alfred Bayle /ra
