September may have seen less of Queen of All Media Kris Aquino after she flew to Singapore that saw her diagnosed with autoimmune disease chronic spontaneous urticaria, but her absence wasn’t forever as she is now back and ready to take on the next big thing.

Today, Aquino finds herself back to regular programming, but not without getting an earful first from soon-to-be Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) chief Teodoro “Teddyboy” Locsin Jr. regarding her health.

Aquino has known Locsin since she was a toddler and, as per her Instagram post yesterday, Oct. 16, he is one of the people who can still scold her like she was still 16 years old.

She shared that she sent a message to Locsin congratulating him for being named as the next DFA head by President Duterte, to which he replied with a sermon on her health.

“This was his reply after I congratulated him on becoming the soon to be DFA Secretary,” wrote Aquino. “’Hi Kris. Thanks. But I am angry you do not take good care of yourself. Yeah I am astounded by your energy and tireless commitment to be the best in your field and you do it even without a TV Station. BUT your first duty is to your health.'”

Locsin told Aquino that he lost her mother, the late former President Corazon Aquino, because “she thought of her duties first before her health.”

“I am old,” Locsin was quoted as telling Aquino. “Don’t let me go through that again.”

Mirroring her candidness, Locsin also told Aquino what he thought of this certain person in her life. He did not drop any names, but Locsin referred to someone with seven letters.

“It is none of my business, but *******’s too short,” Locsin continued. “Nice no doubt but…”

Aquino, seemingly amused, shared her mother used to tell her that she and Locsin got along well because they were both unfiltered and irrepressible.

“To put his mind at ease & also my followers who worried about my heart, i’m very comfortable with my status being ‘NOT IN A RELATIONSHIP,'” she said. “At least until someone gets Bimb’s approval- Kuya is easy, if the would be date, suitor, or boyfriend has a Range Rover or Ferrari he gets a YES.”

Meanwhile, despite her recent ordeal where she saw herself financially betrayed and abused by someone close to her, blessings upon blessings still continue to rain down on Aquino as she shared she has a contract signing with a multinational conglomerate today, Oct. 17.

She said that before she became the mother that she is today,  she was once the spoiled, perhaps favored bunso of her mom. Thus, she dedicates her latest contract signing to Cory’s memory.

“Signing a 2 year contract w/ the multinational conglomerate that gave me my very 1st beauty soap endorsement more than 30 years ago. It matters because my mom would be smiling in heaven because regardless of all her history making achievements, she put us 1st. In my heart i’m 100% sure- my endorsements made her proudest of me.”  /ra
