Regine Velasquez seems to further fuel speculations of her transfer to ABS-CBN, as she is set to join husband Ogie Alcasid and other Kapamilya stars for a show abroad.

Asia’s Songbird is set to appear as a special guest of the network’s Sunday variety show, ASAP. The show will have a live event in Sydney, Australia on Oct. 20.

This was confirmed through a press release on the show’s official Instagram account on Friday.

Liza Soberano and Enrique Gil are also set to join the live event, as well as 32 other “confirmed talents.”

Although she is keeping mum on the speculations, Velasquez seemed to boost transfer rumors when she attended the ABS-CBN Ball with Alcasid and stepdaughter Leila last Sept. 28.

Alcasid denied that he had convinced his wife to join him in the Kapamilya network. “Ako po ay walang kinalaman dun, ang asawa ko ay isang matalinong tao. Di naman yan magiging Asia’s Songbird kung di yan nagtiyaga ng kanya lang, hindi ba? Ako naman ay asawa lang niya,” he told the Philippine Entertainment Portal in an interview.

(I do not have anything to do with it [her transfer], my wife is a smart person. She will not be Asia’s Songbird if she did not work hard on her own, right? I’m just her husband.)

Currently, Velasquez is still signed with GMA-7, where she hosts “Sarap Diva.” She too was the host of “The Clash,” which ended its first season on Oct. 7.  /ra
