FEATURED STORIES

A budol-budol gang is a group of swindlers that usually calls or texts potential victims by lying to them that someone dear or close to them had gotten into an accident or some form of misfortune. The caller usually persuades the victims to bring cash to a certain location, where other members of the gang would be waiting.

Apart from calls and texts, budol-budol gangs also approach people in public, who they lure and blackmail into giving them valuables such as jewelry or cash by using “hypnotism” or their persuasive power. As per the National Capital Region Police Office, budol-budol gangs can strike just about anywhere.
