They may not be biologically related, but there is no denying that Paolo Contis treats LJ Reyes’ son Aki like his own.
But how did they get close to each other? This he shared in a GMA Kapuso Artist Tambayan video on Wednesday.
“A way to a kid’s heart is yung laro (a game),” Contis said, adding that he would always let him win every time they played a game.
The actor also recalled the times he would visit Reyes when they were newly dating. He noticed that Aki would sometimes take a peek at him from upstairs in his home.
“Sabi niya sa akin, ‘You wanna play?'” the actor remembered, saying that Aki asked him to join him play “Call of Duty” on the boy’s Xbox.
Contis added Aki scored higher than him by killing his character, and subsequently won the game.
“Pinapakita mong lumalaban ka?” host Chiko Tito asked, to which Contis replied: “Hindi! Hindi ko nga alam yung nangyayari eh… wala akong alam sa Xbox, wala akong alam sa computer [games] eh.”
“Dun nagsimula ‘yun,” he said. “Nahanap na niya ako, ako yung kalaro niyang tanga. ‘Makipaglaro nga dun.’ Siguro kasi tinatalo siya.”
And with Contis and Reyes expecting a baby girl, how does Aki feel about having a baby sister? “Actually, gusto niya ng baby brother,” Reyes said. When the couple learned about the gender, the boy came to her saying: “You know, mom and Pao, I’m still happy that I’m gonna have a baby sister.”
Reyes is currently six months pregnant with their child, and is due to give birth in January 2019. Katrina Hallare /ra
