Jed Madela is OK with not being a hit, as long as he can sing his own songs
Jed Madela is not bothered if he is not a huge hit nor super popular, as long as he can sing his own songs.
The singer-songwriter defended himself from a netizen who said he is not a hit with people. This happened via a Twitter exchange on Sunday, Sept. 23.
A netizen named Jun Salameda (@jun_salameda) expressed his opinion that although Madela is a great vocalist, he wonders why Madela “can’t be a hit.” “Answer: music lovers can’t sing along with him,” the netizen stated. “I also don’t listen to most of his songs that sound like diva-ish.”
Madela then replied to the netizen, taking note of the feedback: “Thank you for this critique.. but I dont see anything wrong if I CAN sing my own songs.”
As for the remark that music lovers cannot sing along with him, Madela replied, “Real music lovers do not have to sing along. They can just listen and be fine about it.”

Hello? Jed Madela is Jed Madela. I love his voice, songs and interpretation. One of the few singers who I can say can blew the listeners away. I've experienced that magical feeling LIVE! :)

One Jon Chester De Leon (@annyeonghasey0o) said that Madela has his own way of expressing songs, which for him is a strong point for a Filipino singer. He praised Madela’s vocal skills: “His high notes were [pristine], his agility is remarkable.”
Different artists has their own nisch of music, @jedmadela is a tenor, his voice will sound nasty if you let him sing low. He has his own way of expressing songs which for me is still a strong point as a Filipino singer. His high notes were prestine, his agility is remarkable.

Madela has proven himself a force to be reckoned with in the local music scene. Aside from wowing audiences with his powerful voice, Madela is the first Filipino to win the World Championships of Performing Arts title in Hollywood, California in 2005. JB
