WATCH: Edward Barber surprises Maymay Entrata with ball invitation

Maymay Entrata was dumbstruck when Edward Barber arranged a surprise invitation to the upcoming ABS-CBN ball 2018.
Barber set up a simple surprise invitation for Entrata in their shared van with help from their private assistants. With some well-placed hints, Barber lured Entrata to the van where he prepared flowers, streamers and a small sign that asked if she was free for the ball.
Entrata, with a surprised expression on her face after opening the van door, could only say “Baliktad (It’s upside down),” while pointing at Barber’s sign. The actor then asked, “Libre ka ba? Libre ka ba to be my date (Are you free? Are you free to be my date)?”
Jogged out of her initial shock by Barber’s question, Entrata replied, “Hindi nga? Kakainis ka, patayin ko kayo! Oo naman, thank you Dong. Nakakahiya, ano to plano mo ba to?”
(Are you serious? You’re annoying, I’m going to kill you! Of course, thank you Dong. This is so embarrassing, did you plan this?)

Barber shared a footage of his invitation on Instagram on Monday, Sept. 24. He included two perspectives, one shot from the outside and another from inside the van where Entrata’s surprised expression could be seen. Barber also captioned the post with “Perfect girl, perfect date.”
Not too long ago, the MayWard love team made fans giddy last Sept. 14 when Barber posted about choosing “strange” over “normal.” It included a picture of Entrata holding a bouquet of red roses with a single white one in the middle to signify her uniqueness. /ra
