Brothers Troy and KC Montero mourned the recent death of their father, Cody Miller Jr., who passed away this September due to cancer.
Troy (real name Cody Miller III), took to Instagram last Sept. 15 where he shared a throwback picture of his father and Hunter, his son with wife Aubrey Miles.
“Rest in peace Dad. We love you,” was all Troy wrote then.
Last Sept. 23, Troy took to his Instagram again to share to his fans that they laid his father to rest with their family and friends.
“Yesterday, we laid our Dad to rest. I must say, his funeral was beautiful,” wrote Troy in his post. “The Chapel was standing room only with people lined up all the way outside.”
Troy paid homage to his father, sharing that he was so loved by many. “A few laughs here and there during his service and of course plenty of tears. Thank you to our family and friends for showing their love and respect.”
“Dad, I’ll never stop missing you… May you rest in peace… Love you, miss you, bye.”
Younger brother KC (real name Casey Miller) also took to his Instagram to mark the passing of his father. KC shared a boomerang video of him with his father and niece, showing his old man doting on his granddaughter.
“My last photo with the Big Hunter and the Little Princess. 11 days later he went on that big expedition in the sky,” wrote KC. “There will never be another one like him. We love and miss you so much Dad. #FuckCancer.”
In another Instagram post made on Sept. 23, KC shared a picture of him with Troy standing by their father’s casket. The casket was covered with an American flag and surrounded by flowers and framed pictures.
“Rest in paradise, Dad.”
Aubrey Miles, Troy’s wife, also honored her father-in-law last Sept. 17 when she shared throwback pictures of him with his family on Instagram.
Miles thanked her father-in-law for being a great dad to all of them and for the wisdom he imparted on her.
“Thank you for being a great dad to us,” wrote Miles. “You taught me so much and I’ll miss your constant wisdom. I Will always Love you.”
“I’ll tell my daughter all about her Lolo.”
Miles also shared a photograph from the funeral on Instagram today, Sept. 24. In her picture, she showed the funeral goers surrounding the casket as they all shared a quiet, solemn moment.
“We’ll think of you every day. You are loved beyond words,” wrote Miles. “Love you Dad.”
The deepest condolences to the Miller family. NVG
