Pepe Herrera: I see my mom in Ritz Azul

I will feel honored,” said comedian Pepe Herrera when asked how he would react if a girl like Ritz Azul, who has never had any boyfriend, would choose to be his girl.

The two are costars in the Topel Lee romantic comedy “The Hopeful Romantic.”

Is there a chance for Ritz and Pepe, who is also single, to feel romantic toward each other?

“We got close only while working on this movie. We’re still in the stage of getting to know each other on a ‘friend’ level,” Pepe told the Inquirer at a recent media gathering organized by Regal Films.

“I actually see my mom in Ritz. They’re both down-to-earth and family-oriented,” he quipped.

Pepe is currently working on  “Jhon en Martian,” where he stars opposite Arci Muñoz.

“We hit it off right away. Arci totally gets my toilet humor. She’s fun to work with. I’m lucky because I get to be with girls like her and Ritz, bargas din,” he pointed out.

Pepe related that he would also like to collaborate with Jasmine Curtis-Smith, whom he got to  hang out with while the latter was promoting her movie “Siargao.”
